Rebecca has been volunteering at the bicycle exchange for about 3 years - you will usually see her at the registration table helping volunteers, donors, and people who want to purchase bikes.
She works for the Veterans Administration as a Recreation Therapist and learned about the Bicycle Exchange through Jack, one of the founders, when he was donating bikes to the VA. Not only does she herself volunteer, but she coordinates volunteers from the VA. Volunteering gives veterans who have an interest in mechanics and want to be of service a good forum for practice and learning new skills.
